Machine Parts Box Repurposed

Recyle! Reuse! Repurpose!

Vintage and antique lovers worldwide already know that the best way to stay green is to repurpose what is already on this earth....

Thus, imagine our delight to stumble upon these old machine parts metal box organizers. Already pre-drilled with holes where the lube oil once drained, these make fabulous planter boxes!

Note: as some plant roots may burn if left to grow touching the metal itself, it's always best to line any metal with moss or similar planting material.

Measuring 23 L x 12 W x 7" Deep; $89 each. We scooped up a little over two dozen so get yours while the gittin' is good!

Coffee, Tea or Chocolat?

Antique French Lait Bowls $28-49

Some even use these lovelies as cereal bowls, but we'd rather imagine sipping Café au Lait sitting along the Siene on Que de la Tournelle....adorned with gloves, beret and a small Moleskin notebook musing about the day's adventures...

After all, cafes are the heartbeat of Paris. Its living stage. Anyone who has sat more than 5 minutes at any café or bistro knows you are suddenly immersed into the Parisian way of life. And since these establishments don't follow trends, they are simply FRENCH CHIC.

I once knew a woman who'd pull her French tableware out, sip her coffee and then write out a postcard in the comfort of her front porch; she'd send that very postcard to herself which noted the approximate date and location of where she wanted to visit next. Dreams aliven the spirit!

Just brought back from France, Antique Lait Bowls in a variety of colors and sizes.

French Crosses Noir for January Blessings

A bounty of old, crusty, chipped black crosses unearthed at a market in Normandy.
$63-$160; France circa 1930---- Magnifique!!!

We'd also like to take this opportunity to stop and give a big whopping THANK YOU to our bounty of beautiful, wonderful customers and clients
It is always such a joy dealing with all of you, even if only telephonically or in the virtual world of email.....no matter what the situation, you make each day treasured when we get to meet, greet and interact with you.....
{OK, Suzy Sunshine, truth be told: It's not always roses all the time. There are a couple of folks we've met over the years with whom.....well......one person very recently was incredibly rude and confrontational to my staff. I'm always taken aback when someone feels they can be mean and catty just because they can't see the person with whom they're talking. HOW SAD!! Negative-energy carriers be gone!)
But TRULY a big thank you to you all....whether you're a celebrity, celebrity handlers, homemaker, teacher, nurse, attorney, business owner....whatever your occupation and wherever you walk on earth...we appreciate all of you. This past year was our best EVER at Vintageweave.......Blessings to you for a bountiful 2009!

Kris Kringle Flew In

That's me these days: Kris Kringle....

....I'm busy racing around town decorating clients' homes for the holidays....and I'm LOVING IT. As a result I'm really so in the Christmas spirit (and Hanukkah as I'm coming out of my eyeballs with blue bulbs!).

Have been so busy that I've not had a chance to take any pictures, but did remember to snap a quick couple while in Ojai Valley this week...don't you love an abundance of white roses??

We're all sold out of the antique carts, but more will arrive in the Spring should you wish to add one to your porch!

I'm SO LOVING this new Midori Ribbon in 4"....brown and bright red....oh la la! What a glam statement ($179/27 yards by emailing us at vintageweave@aol.com)

When the holidays slow a bit we'll take a few days off and then unload our newly-arrived container of goodies from France!! More soon....
