An Angel to Watch Over Us All

I've been unable to blog as the business is blessed to remain incredibly busy. Any free time away from Vintageweave has been spent with my ailing father, who has suffered from liver and kidney disease the past 20 months.

On Tuesday, September 22, the beautiful man I have had the privilege of knowing as FATHER, DAD, DADDY, POP, PA, was welcomed into the loving arms of God. He left this earth into the gates of heaven at 7:pm PST. My family's grief is overwhelming at times, and other times we laugh or smile and remember the wonderful, wonderful man who touched the lives of so many.

My father was one of the most generous souls ever to walk this earth. I was blessed to enjoy an extremely close relationship with him...he was my hero, my rock. While my heart aches, I take comfort in knowing God is smiling, the angels are dancing and we still feel his love.

Shared by a friend, which I find so beautiful:
"Losing a father is like losing that one wing when needing to fly... Life seems unbearable without you, but knowing you want me to go on with life gives me the strength to do so.... I miss you so much... I know whatever I do in life you will be there because you are not only my father but you are now my angel, too....."

I am soo sorry for your loss, we lost my dad in March, but I am just starting to be able to take my memories and get strength from them and smile :) My heart goes out to you and your loved ones, as much as you love and miss him, remember he is still...always with you..Rose

I just did a post on a wonderful memory I have of my dad and his pancakes...I laughed and I cried when I wrote it but more important...I smiled...

oh kathy! So, so sorry. An angel is watching over all is now! Take comfort in that your father completed his mission on earth therefore God called him home for sure. His mission: to take care of his family. Look at all you've accomplished in your life thus far! He was surely so proud of you. Prayers with you and your family. Kevin N.

Kathy,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I know you know that your father is at peace now and in no further pain or suffering.

While his journey has ended on this plane, his spirit lives on and will forever be with you. While you may not see him physically, you will remember him through the memories that you shared and a heart filled with love at having had the chance to spend the last 18 months with him.

May God comfort you and your family in this very difficult and sad time.

xoxo

Kris

May he rest in the arms of God's angels and may God lift you and your family up during this very sad and difficult time.
