Boating essentials

I'm not big on plastic, as I prefer to celebrate life using the best china and glassware every day...this is incorporated in my daily life routines, too. But every now and then the more appropriate choice is plastic....

Enter heavenly French Liquid Soap in a plastic bottle. I sourced these when a client needed a slew of them for her client's yacht she was decorating (think of a really hot looking pirate!). Plastic pumps are simply more practical for kids' bathrooms, laundry rooms or any place broken glass would pose a sincerely horrible situation!

Available in Lavande des Collines or Persil Menthe; $18 for 50ml plastic bottle. Available now under What's New or Apothecary: "Vintageweave" .

Father's Day is approaching and this will be the first dad's day my father will be in Heaven. We're going to celebrate all the things he loved: cupcakes, carne asada tacos, fine cabernet, and an easy stroll on a boat listening to jazz & blues! ...oh and of course laughing--my dad LOVED TO LAUGH! Happy Papa's Day to all the Fathers out there!

Côté Bastide Special Orders

{Orange Scented Linen Water; Eau de linge. $70 for 24oz glass bottle}

You already know we stock a warehouse full of our favorite finds from our favorite atelier...

But did you know you may ALWAYS place a special order? Shipments arrive from Provence monthly, and since we sell to many designers and event planners, (ahem, or fellow shopaholics.....) we often get last-minute large orders that wipe out our available inventory. Or perhaps you're in search of a favorite scent or must-have Côté Bastide tableware? SOLUTION: special order requests to the rescue!

{Côté Bastide Mixing Bowl-Set of 5}

Recent special orders:
*One client loves to fill a large apothecary jar with orange blossom and Lin soaps...did we mention the apothecary jar is 4 feet tall??
That's alotta' soaps we ship!
*Another client's standard 'thank you' gift for her bevy of friends, clients and charity patrons is Amber bubble bath; she continually purchases and stocks a couple dozen bottles at a time.
*And yet another client can't get enough of the heavenly Côté Bastide linen tea towels. So when she got married last year, she wanted one type at each place setting and another trio wrapped to give to each guest. Her special order came in no less than five boxes off that boat from France!

Any scent, any flavor, any size.

You ask. We get (or at least really, really try to).

The latest favorite arrival: Côté Bastide Eau de Linge in heavenly scented Orange Floral. Linen water for ironing and steaming your best linens and cottons. Our antique shams stay dressed in nothing less.

Sigh....as if the scent wasn't amazing enough, can you even stand the bottle?? TO-DIE-FOR FABULOUS!

Pamplemousse

Summer is approaching fast ....it's already here in some parts of the land!

BRING IT...we're ready regardless of the weather. Pamplemousse, or Grapefruit as called in good ol' America, has landed on our shores. Liquid soap created in the traditional, old ways from long ago where they perfected it in Marseille, France.

New summer flavor in grapefruit. Oh, soooooo good, but this version is better served on your hands than in your bowl.

Chic glass bottle with pump; $31 at "Vintageweave Interiors" or by emailing vintageweave@aol.com.

A Sonoma Wedding

A long-time, loyal client from San Francisco is getting married. Imagine the delight when she called and asked if we'd consult on helping create a magical experience. They've picked a wonderful winery where the grounds are green and lush and the air is scented of oak, cedar and eucalyptus.

We'll call this lovely client "B". "B" is a Francophile having lived in Paris several years. She also likes simplicity, nature and is a girly-girl minus the lace. After several phone calls and brainstorming sessions, we settled on a theme: "French Femininity" (her fiancee is a go-with-the-flow kinda' guy! What mama wants, mama gets!).

More to come, but these ultra feminine votives are headed to Sonoma where "B" is planning her special day. I know she's going to love them as much as I do. After the nuptials, each guest will take one home. {Now that's a party favor I can sink my teeth into!}

Now offered for the masses at $43/ea measuring 4" high x 3.5" wide. Not water safe so if you plan to use as a delightful vase, be sure to insert a cup inside. Under Mercury Glass at "Vintageweave Interiors"
