God Bless our Troops!

In honor of all those who sacrifice so much----of course those who serve, but also the families left behind and the friends back at home lending support--- we are serving up our own special thank you:

Forward us an email from a loved one (family or friend) sent to your email address in the last 12 months, and save 20% off any Dash and Albert tote. (Shhh...we're even throwing in an extra surprise with your order).
Merely forward to: vintageweave@aol.com and we'll match up your name and/or email with your order that comes in. NOW THROUGH JUNE 6. (This will also to apply to totes we may have out of stock or backordered on as they are selling out quickly...but being replenished quickly, too.)

On behalf of my circle of family and friends (many of whom serve so bravely and unselfishly), we at Vintageweave send our gratitude wrapped up with internet hugs.

Machine Parts Box Repurposed

Recyle! Reuse! Repurpose!

Vintage and antique lovers worldwide already know that the best way to stay green is to repurpose what is already on this earth....

Thus, imagine our delight to stumble upon these old machine parts metal box organizers. Already pre-drilled with holes where the lube oil once drained, these make fabulous planter boxes!

Note: as some plant roots may burn if left to grow touching the metal itself, it's always best to line any metal with moss or similar planting material.

Measuring 23 L x 12 W x 7" Deep; $89 each. We scooped up a little over two dozen so get yours while the gittin' is good!

Available now at "Vintageweave.com"

French Lace Basket

This basket has been so popular this month that we decided to share some additional shots to all of our blog readers. It's really such a special piece!

Look for it in the background set decor in an upcoming
Jennifer Anniston movie due out in the Winter!

Ships easily as it is assembled with two rods that screw tightly in the center.

Such a favorite piece that one immediately went home with me....
Wire powder coated and distressed in all the right places to mimic a French antique. Ideal on a kitchen table or island, or even with delicate potted herbs (but be sure to spray to protect it as it will slowly rust over time if left outdoors).

Measures 15.5 x 14"; $98 available now in Paris Flea Market Accessories at Vintageweave.com or 323.932.0451 or vintageweave@aol.com

Jardin Day!

{Luxe Linen Jardin Pillow; 18" sq $79}

French linen takes a new twist with these gorgeous newly designed pillows. The Jardin cushion and pillow in particular make me want to go out and tend to my lavender and roses....

Chic + Crisp = love, love, love!

{Luxe Linen Jardin Cushion}

Discovered these lovelies and think they will be pretty special with plants inside. They have holes already drilled inside their cast iron bodies (just be sure to line with moss so the plant roots don't burn from the cast iron heating up in the sun).

Madame and Madamoiselle Urns (the latter will be coming in black soon, too!)
{Madamoiselle Urn in Distressed White; coming soon in Black; $52}

{Madame Urn Large in French Grey; $59}

Le Siffleur + Cannes Film Fest

Cannes Film Festival officially launches!

Good luck to all of our clients+friends who are participating in some form or fashion this year!

Loving the official poster featuring the ever-elegant Juliette Binoche, oui?

While many films will have exciting set designs which shall leave many of us drooling, I cannot wait for the outdoor scenery captured beautifully by famed cinematographer, Christophe Offenstein, in Le Siffleur (The Whistler). It doesn't get much more beautiful than the French Riviera. Isn't this trailer just luscious???

Alice's Hair Could Have Been Here

European Vintage Shams Style 77 (left) and Style 79 (right)

It was a joy to provide so many linens for Tim Burton's ALICE IN WONDERLAND, including the European Vintage Shams Alice rested her head on in an opening bedroom scene.

So many pairs flew out of the shop shortly after the movie opened, and we're thrilled to have more vintage shams in stock to help set a lovely vintage bed!

We don't have any exact pairs, as we prefer a bed finely dressed with a variety of different beauties so as to appear as if collected over many years of travel throughout England.

Each order comes with a small lavender sachet to tuck under the pillow or in a nearby dresser drawer. Alice would be proud...and more importantly, so would the Mad Hatter.
