Spring has Sprung!

{English Antique Rose Markers- Classic; $33/ea}

In Southern California 'tis true: it's pretty darn beautiful year round. That said, there's simply something special about the arrival of Spring regardless of where you rest your feet....Hawaii, Provence, Lake Como, Los Angeles, Chicago....
  1. My dogs frolic more freely;
  2. Birds chirp louder;
  3. Spring Air smells cleaner;
  4. Potting soil cooperates;
  5. New buds stand taller;
  6. The day is longer!
Just in time for Spring plantings, my favorite English Garden Antiques Dealer spied these lovelies.....
Nestled in Central England, the bounty is vast and mind-boggling. We think English garden ware pairs perfectly with French lavender, sage and rosemary, n'est-ce pas?

Antique Wicker Wine Jug Redux

A new way to incorporate highly-popular glass jugs wrapped in wicker......

We have a hard time keeping the wicker bottles in stock, and now we have a new treasure for your WISH LIST!

The trick is using lots of good quality (i.e. expensive) metal to solder the crystals so they don't move or become so delicate that you are unable to let anyone touch them! These are my most favorite yet!

$295-$2,000....pop in the boutique or check out part of our collection here online

Antique Doors Repurposed

It always fascinates me when craftsmen can take a portion of antique wood and marry it to new wood seamlessly........the results are an amazing reproduction to fit all needs. In this case, to house a flat screen television to lift out of a credenza, or hide behind armoire doors.

While antiques are always preferred in my design world, there are often times when a custom made piece is more appropriate to the scale or room feel............we're making two new credenzas to house a 64" and another for a 42" flat screen HD tv's......pics on those when they are finished!

These antique doors will be the front of a newly-designed cabinet at some point....

Pretty Paris in Pink

As seen walking around the Latin Quarter of Paris....

Vintageweave would work on reproducing lovelies like these, but we just love the well-loved and worn items far too much more...Alas, we shall buy the antiques and bring back the antiques to the States to share with you...

Every girl needs her some George Clooney...

even if that means a cafe break mid-day..alone with GC and his salt and pepper hair in one dimensional form. (Three dimensional is far too overrated.)

...busy, busy, busy on a lightening-fast trip to deal with a few last-minute design issues with our amazing Parisian artists...
