European Wall Sink Mania!

Design jobs in Malibu and Hollywood are keeping me hopping. LOTS and LOTS going on!
I can not believe how crazy busy we are with...
design jobs, your fabulous phone orders, the inordinate amount of wonderful online orders, gift baskets galore, and all those dropping in the boutique to outfit their homes with something special....
We're having a blast helping everyone sneak some wonderful treasures into their homes, and while we have little time for tea breaks (or potty breaks for that matter!), we're loving that our busy plate has seamlessly rolled into the holiday crazy busy platter of a season! The gift basket portion of the business has been in full swing (ok, when isn't it??), but lately we've had several clients who have wrapped films and turned to us to create some magical "thank you's"....more on these later!

Will be back soon to share a bit of this and that....Also, look for weekly new items online now through the end of the year!

In the meantime enjoy these:
We have had an unusual number of requests for European Wall Sinks. So on the extreme hunt we went for these antique lovelies!  Hailing from France, England and Hungary,   we have over 15 in stock right now (after selling over 25 in the last 2 weeks!).
Classic styles with simple, straight lines run $295 - $350.
Elaborate styles with scrolling detail (as those shown here) run $600-$725.

  1. congrats! You must be the only busy one because most of us are struggling in the retail world. Looks like retail sales in the country are the worst in 20 years. What is your secret?

  2. We are asked this question a lot.
It seems appropriate to do a post on it, and will do so this week....
    thanks for stopping by!

  4. I know! I know!
Cuz you have amazing product and great follow up. No one follows up in the retail world. It's Obvious you have a business background.
I have purchsed many, many wall sinks from you for clients and for myself and they are always a welcome surprise in the garden.

  5. Kathy,
I am so glad to hear you are doing well! I have always loved those wall sinks. And you have a couple exquisite examples there! I would be interested in your post on how to keep afloat as well!

  6. You, my friend are being rewarded for your ability to make all of us including your employees, online customers and clients feel important. Regardless of how small the item and the cost, we are all treated with the same level of respect and importance. That is why you can expect to do so well in an otherwise struggling economy. And, it doesn't hurt to have God's blessing either.

  7. I think they're called "bénitiers" and they are religious objects

  8. You are correct! They are "bénitiers--their proper name, but more commonly known as European Wall Sinks. 99% of our sales have come from either google searches or inquiries specifically for the latter name so that's the name we're sticking to these days! When we listed them under our website as their proper name, we sold zero in six months. Now we sell approx 2 a week.
Thanks for adding in more info for our readers! However people wish to call them, they are gorgeous!

PS We just got in two black ones that are chipped in all the right places. Straight lines. Contact if interested and they will surely sell quickly.

  9. It sounds like you're the most successful person in the retail world. You should give a course at the Learning Annex on how to survive these brutal economic times. I think we would all benefit. God be with you.

  10. Ohhhh, we are FAR from being the most successful retail store!!!! At the end of the day, we are still a small business (and we like it that way.)

I know of plenty in the LA area who are doing vastly better than Vintageweave. This general area merely garners a different type of buyer/consumer. Economic conditions are different in certain parts of the Country. I'll post soon on a few tips that work for us, but I am by no means and expert. Only know what works for me, for my business, my product and my clientele.
    Thanks for everyone's comments!
